Where Can I See Product Sales Statistics?
Keeping track of the product sales statistics is essential to your business. These metrics provide insights into how your store fares, help you identify underperforming products, and highlight top-performing brands, items, and categories.
SiteGround Ecommerce provides various tracking tools that will help you monitor all vital metrics and elevate your business.
To view the product sales statistics, follow these steps.
- Navigate to the Site Admin > Analytics section.
- Open the Products tab.

- Select the time period for which you want to see the statistics from the drop-down menu in the top right corner.

The statistics are divided into three main sections that display different sets of metrics.
Product Stock
This section is not bound to the selected time period. It provides a general overview of the current product availability in your store. The product stock statistics include product variations, but exclude products with status “Draft”.

- In stock – displays the current number of products in stock.
- Low stock – displays the number of products in low stock. The low stock number is defined in the store setting.
- Out of stock – displays the number of out-of-stock products.
- Stock value – the total stock value formed by the sum of each product price multiplied by its stock number. The formula is (Product 1 stock X Product 1 price) + (Product 2 stock X Product 2 price) + (Product 3 stock X Product 3 price) + …..
Items Sold Statistics
This section provides statistics about the products sold by your store for the selected time period.

- Items Sold – the total number of sold items for the selected period. Below the number, you can see a comparison between the current period and the previous period of the same length.
- Sales Graph – On the right, you can see a graph representing a detailed sales breakdown for each day/month.
- Best Selling Product – displays the name of the best-selling product for the selected timeframe.
- Best Selling Category – displays the category that sold the highest number of items for the selected period.
- Best Selling Brand – displays the brand that sold the most items for the given period.
Detailed View
At the bottom of the product statistics page, you can see a Detailed View list of all products sold in the selected period. You can filter that list by brand, category, or customer ratings.

The following metrics represent each product:
- Product – the name of the product
- Category – the assigned category of the product
- Brand – the product brand
- Quantity – shows the current status of the product’s stock quantity. It could be In Stock or Out of Stock.
- Items Sold – the number of items sold for the particular product
- Rating – the average rating of all client ratings for the product
