What Are Prompts and How to Use Them?

Prompts are sets of instructions you give to the AI to guide its responses. A well-crafted prompt helps the AI better understand your goal and produce more accurate and relevant results.

For example:

❌ “Write a product description for a candle.”

✅ “Write a short, engaging product description for a handmade soy candle with a lavender scent, visible an my online store’s homepage.”

The more specific and contextual your request is, the better the AI’s response quality will be.

Using Prompts in SiteGround AI Studio

In SiteGround AI Studio Plus, you get access to an extensive prompt library, which gives you ready-made, usable prompts for different use cases.

You can access it from the left-hand toolbar by selecting Prompts.

Let’s look at an example. Go to the Prompts page and click the Use now button for one of the prompts.

This will open a new chat session where a set of detailed instructions is already added in the input field:

Using a specialized prompt helps you save time – it reduces iterating with the AI and figuring out the right message it needs to generate the expected output.

You can easily edit the ready prompt in the chat field before submitting it to AI if you feel you need to enhance it.
