How to Approve & Unapprove Product Reviews
Having product reviews on your store builds trust in your brand and improves its reputation.
SiteGround Ecommerce allows you to choose whether or not customers can leave reviews on your items. For more information about the general options, read this guide on managing reviews in SiteGround Ecommerce.
If you’ve opted to display reviews, you have several options for approving or unapproving them.
How to Approve a Product Review
Every time a customer leaves a review, it is pending with Unapproved status. You have to approve it before it is published on the product page and the rest of the visitors can see it.
To approve a review in SiteGround Ecommerce, follow these steps:
- Open the Reviews section under Site Admin > Store Manager.
- To approve the review, click on its Actions (kebab) menu > Approve.

How to Unapprove a Product Review
If you’ve already approved a review but now wish to unpublish it(so it’s not visible on the product page), you must unapprove it. You can do that by following these steps:
- Go to the Reviews section under Site Admin > Store Manager.
- Click on the chosen review’s Actions (kebab) menu > Unapprove.

How to Approve/Unapprove Multiple Reviews
Apart from editing single reviews, you can bulk-edit multiple reviews in SiteGround Ecommerce.
- Open Site Admin > Store Manager > Reviews.
- Select the reviews by checking their boxes. If you wish to select all reviews on the page, tick the Review box.
- Choose the edit type from the Bulk Actions drop-down menu. The options are Approve, Unapprove, and Delete. For more information, read this guide on how to delete product reviews.
